- Avoid recruiting a turkey by making sure you have a robust recruitment process in place, and you remember to check references. Whilst this may seem like a lot of effort if you only want to employ someone for short time, it reduces the risk of hiring someone unsuitable.
- The best Christmas gift? A contract of employment! If there is ever a dispute with an employee about their terms and conditions you will be in a more robust position if you have issued one as it can help you to evidence what the employee is entitled to.
