Mental Health Week Top Tip #3 – Create an environment where all employees can blossom

Fear of discrimination and how they will be treated can be significant reasons why many employees don’t feel able to talk about their mental health at work. It’s important for employers to ensure that discrimination or harassment on the grounds of mental health status is seen to be as unacceptable as it would be in relation to other protected characteristics such as sex or race.

Ensuring that your organisation has appropriate equal opportunities and anti-bullying and harassment policies in place and that employees and managers are appropriately trained in these areas contributes to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can blossom.
