If your organisation is one of those in which employees carried over holiday as they were prevented from taking it due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that this isn’t forgotten. Under the Working Time (Coronavirus) Amendment Regulations 2020 carried-over leave may be taken in the two leave years immediately following the leave year in respect of which it was due. It’s best practice for employers to encourage employees to take holiday and to facilitate this at the earliest practicable opportunity.
