Time to Talk Day 2022 is taking place on 3rd February 2022, the aim is to create supportive communities, including workplaces, by encouraging conversations about mental health. This topic continues to be high on the agenda for many employers who are looking to support, retain and attract employees.
If you are an employer thinking about mental health you may find it helpful to know that a recent survey of 1,000 workers by AXA found that:
- 57% of workers polled felt that the stigma around mental health was declining as a result of the pandemic
- 29% said they were more open about their mental health with their colleagues
- 49% reported they felt better able to acknowledge when they may need support
- 40% said they had enough mental health support at work
Time to Talk Day 2022 can be a great opportunity for employers to promote mental health awareness in the workplace, build on the steps they have already taken and identify any future initiatives which would be beneficial.
